Charlotte & Harry’s intimate wedding at Finca Las Higueras

Charlotte and Harry traveled from England to the magical volcanic island of Lanzarote – in search of a place that was as special as their connection. They found it in the Finca Las Higuerasnestled in a landscape reminiscent of the surface of another planet: black lava fields, slender palm trees and a tranquillity that was almost tangible. A micro-wedding in the midst of this powerful nature – personal, profound and without any unnecessary hustle and bustle.

The ceremony was small but full of meaning. Surrounded by their closest confidants, Charlotte and Harry exchanged their vows in a setting that was quiet and yet so expressive.
As a wedding photographer, I was able to capture this special atmosphere – the mixture of intimacy, emotionality and the spectacular natural backdrop made this wedding unforgettable for me.

Charlotte chose an extraordinary bridal bouquet of green anthuriums, elegant calla lilies and black accents – a stylish, modern composition that harmonized perfectly with the barren landscape of Lanzarote. Her dress by Annette Basilius was also a statement: minimalist, elegant and with eye-catching puffed sleeves – a perfect mix of classic and individual.

After Luisa Wolf’s emotional wedding ceremony(Wolfi’s words), we used the soft light of the late afternoon for a couple shoot in the expansive lava landscape. As the sun slowly disappeared behind the hills, we captured images full of peace and connection – almost like something from another universe.
