Katja & Philip celebrate their wedding in Tuscany

Wedding Podere San Giorgio – As their wedding photographer, I was able to accompany them over three unforgettable days – from the relaxed arrival at a pizza party to the exuberant party on a very special summer night. Their wedding in Tuscany was not only emotional, but also a perfect example of the beauty of small, personal wedding celebrations in Italy.

Katja and Philipp opted for Podere San Giorgio – a charming countryside in Palaia, about an hour from Florence. The location is ideal for small parties of up to 35 guests and offers everything you need for a wedding weekend in Tuscany: rustic charm, a natural Tuscan backdrop and enough space for all guests to stay overnight.

The surroundings are typical of the region: small hills, olive trees, cypresses – a place straight out of a painting. It was really easy for me to capture the day in pictures!

The free wedding ceremony took place under a huge tree with a view over the hills of Tuscany. It was warm, almost 30 degrees, with bright sunshine – a classic Italian summer day.
The outdoor wedding dinner that followed was a real highlight. We dined in style between old stone walls and under twinkling fairy lights. A jazz/pop band provided relaxed live music and gave the evening a unique atmosphere.

After dinner, we went down a small flight of stairs into a separate area of the venue – perfect for the party! A DJ provided the atmosphere there until late into the night. They danced, laughed and celebrated – just as Katja and Philipp had wished.
